I Don't Want To Be Perceived The Way I Am, I Just Want To Be Perceived The Way I Am

So I've decided that I like this idea to relating the songs that I listen to to somekind of story. It kind of give you an idea of what's running through my head when i hear each tune. It also helps you get to know the real me, if you don't know me already.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas. I've never really heard the Relient K version of it but of what i'm hearing it's good so far.

Hit the Road Jack. Oh Ray Charles, how could you go wrong. Apparently the movie's good well according to Jordan. Hehehe, i trust him.

I Can Only Imagine. Another song we sung at camp that is so incredably meaningful, well at least I think so. Can you just imagine....just think. If you're a Christian you will be in God's presence forever and eternity. It will just be you worshiping Him. *sigh* Just take a minute to think about that.

The Nails In Your Hands. Another camp song, and again with the meaningfulness. The King of the universe came down to earth to just live and die for us. His expression of love for you and me can be described in one shape...the cross. "Forever my love, forever my heart, forever my life is Yours."

I Surrender All. Turns out is a "secret song". Gotta love those. Whenever we sing this song we may mean the lyrics to it at the time however it's hard to surrender all to Jesus. All means everything, as in every aspect of your life you are to give up and trust Him to do what's best for you in that situation. No one every said that that Christian life would be easy, i know that from experience. People try to sway you into believing their ideals even though you know it's wrong. I'm kinda hoping that God will show me how to deal with situations like that with what I'm going to learn in Bible School

Do What I Do. Oh Kj52! Can't go wrong with a white Christian rapper. I think one of my fav songs by KJ was "Dear Slim" Basically it's a song about Eminem and KJ's telling him how he's praying for Em and that one day he will find Christ. It has a bit of an impact on some the Junior high kids last year at camp. A few even bought KJ's CD, I even got it! Good song so far...

Nutcracker Suite-Chinese Dance. This always reminds me of the dance that the mushrooms do on the Fantasia video. You know what i mean!

May The Horse Be With You. Relient K! Again can't go wrong. They're like the "original" punk rock of Christianity. Well that's just me. They always have great head banging songs! If you were to see my head banging style right now, you'd probably think I was nuts. but i'm having a good time.

Chapstick, Chapped Lips, and Things Like Chemistry. hey Amy remember when you let me borrow your "Xtreme" CD, well it was called something like that in June? This reminds me of the last month of High School. whoah i've been out of school for about 7 months....I'm learneded! "I don't want to be perceived the way I am, I just want to be perceived the way I am." Such a good lyric.

For The Moments That I Feel Faint. Never heard this song until now...wait, I think I've heard it at camp.

I Hate Christmas Parties. Still by Relient K, and i haven't heard this one before either. I think it's about breaking up during the Christmas season. Ya i can almost relate to that. Ba-hum bug!

Staples. Still Relient K, again haven't heard this one before, but i like it! The thing that I really like about Relient is that they have awesome music, as in the beat and head bangs, however there's always a Biblical meaning to their songs.

Pressing On. See I know this song, the interesting twist on this version is that this is the acoustic version. Very interesting. No head bangs for this song, just mellowness. I think there's a lawnmower in the background!?! How random, I love it.

Blessed Be Your Name. Another camp song. This was almost becoming over played cause when i first moved to the city i went to the C&C group at Ebenezzer Baptist Church and we pretty much sang this every week. Almost to the point of being overplayed, just almost. "Every blessing you pour out i turn back to praise".

I'm gonna take a break cause "Whose Line Is it Anyway?" is on. Be Right Back! K, it's not done yet but i just have to say...whenever they have they girl that plays tenor sax on there that totally makes my night, cause we all know how much i LOVE tenor sax. Then, here's tonight's episode, not only did they have the tenor sax, they had the BARI. Ya, as in the baritone sax. I was definately impressed! And they were singing to a techno song with the bari as the bass line. Ever since i've seen the bari and heard it I was a big fan. But i still love my tenor, that way i can still have a bit more melody ;) Plus Ryan stiles didn't know whether Kid Rock was a group of people or just one person.

Our King. Again with the newer songs, but it's all good. Plus Trent had this CD at camp and he said it was really good. Such good worshipful lyrics.

The Answer To The Question. I think i like Tree 63, and i think i like this song too.

This is random but I think i'm gonna try on my grad dress sometime before i go back to the city. I'm just curious as to whether or not that thing still fits, but it's fun to just dress up for no apparent reason. I might even post pictures of it...maybe.
