hey! Back in Wynyard again.Basically just lisenting to some tunes. Mainly Grits. Can't get any better, well at least in the tune department. The computer can use TONS of upgrades. But can't complain. i can still check my e-mail and blog.Ya Grits! I wish i could have seen them live in Caronport last year. Boo for blizzards and crappy Saskatchewan weather. *Sigh* but we all know i'm gonna somewhat miss it when i'm in New Zealand. So my parents are gone for the moment cause mom had a doctor's appointment or something and since i didn't really want to go i got to stay here and play on the compy! Yay!
So i'm listening "Romanesque" right now. Those of you from band last year should remember this song. Man i miss playing, I haven't really played since my audition. That was nerve-racking! But it's over. Now it's just the waiting period, which sucks cause i'm not very patient person. Hopefully i can get into Music Education. I feel so inadaquate for it though. I mean i've only been play sax for 2 years, no private lessons, and piano for 10 years (though I'm not that good). But i love going back to Lake Lenore and visiting everyone there. I think it's mostly the people that make the band. If you're in band you know exactly what i mean.
Next song :Addams Family! Now that was hilarity in itself. First of all I was the one that wanted the costume idea and so i got most of it organized. However i was the one that got the most laughed at being the only girl that meant that I was Morticia which meant that i had to wear a long black wig. I should really post a picture of that soon. Good times.
Next song: YMCA. This is such an awesome burnt CD! i can get a story out of all songs and relate it somehow to my life. This is another song that we played last year.
Next song: Star Wars! Now ever since the last band recital everytime i hear this song I think " How could me and Ian miss the coda!" Basically we had the "walking part" and somehow we both missed it in the end so there was pretty much silence for a few bars. See? Band is fun!
Next song: Green Hornet. *sigh* A trumpet song cannot get any better! Hey Scott, remember when i made you play this in the car the whole day of my grad? And on the way from Naicam to the banquet in Pleasantdale? LoL! Someday i want to be able to either play this myself OR have one of my students play it. That would be beyond amazing!
Next song: Tennesse Boys. Hey Joelle, remember when we did that dance to this song in my green and blue cabin @ camp? Good times! And Courtney, Gillisa, Kirsten, and Jasmine remember when Kenty-Boy and Josh would say "Tennesee Boys" and me and Amy would be the "Girls!" I love being at camp! Again with the good times.
Next song: Be Mine. I really wish Candice, Kim and Dan did their skit to this song at Teen Camp. But I'm glad i saw it at staff training. It was SO cute and meaningful. "Our blueprint is in Ephesians" Now that's a relationship!
Next song: My Confession. Now if it wasn't for Candice's love for Josh Grobin at camp i don' think I would have ever borrowed this from the library. Now i just love him, what a voice!
Next song: Crazy In Love. Everytime i hear this i feel like dancing
Next song: Get Down/Dive/All Fall Down. This was THE theme song for camp. Every week Jason would show the camp video to introduce the kids to the awesome week of camp they were gonna have. Man, i miss summer and the good times at Stoney. I gotta visit when i get back from New Zealand. I felt that God really used me this summer even though i was working more in the kitchen and Tuck Shop. I'm not really sure HOW,but i know that i was used. I guess only God really knows what he' doing in my life. I felt that the other staff there encouraged me so much at camp that if i didn't go there last summer i would have been a totally different person.
There. Now I've made a playlist of all the songs that I've mentioned plus some other somes that have tons of awesomeness to offer. Anyway I better let you go then. Maybe I"ll blog some more later. That usually happens to me, as soon as I get off my blog i find some other new insight to blog about. Then when i come back to my blog i forget what my new subject was gonna be.
Okay one more song: Who Am I? This is a really meaningful song by Casting Crowns. Melissa told me at camp that these guys are awesome and since i got this song, i love 'em. Here's the lyrics so you can see for yourself....
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours
I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours
See? Isn't that good? Anyway bye 4 now!
